Preparation steps:

1. Combine 500g flour, 1 tbsp sugar, 2 tsp salt, and 1 packet of yeast in a bowl.
2. Gradually add 300ml warm water, mixing until a dough forms.
3. Knead for 10 minutes until smooth.
4. Let rise in an oiled bowl for 1 hour.
5. Divide into 8 pieces, shape into balls, then poke a hole in each center.
6. Boil bagels in a pot of water for 1-2 minutes per side.
7. Preheat oven to 220°C (428°F).
8. Transfer to a baking sheet, brush with egg wash.
9. Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
10. Cool on a wire rack before serving.
