Preparation steps:

1. Heat a non-stick pan on medium flame.
2. Add 500 grams of khoya (milk solids) and stir continuously.
3. As khoya softens, add 200 grams of sugar.
4. Mix until sugar dissolves completely.
5. Add a pinch of saffron strands and 1 teaspoon of cardamom powder.
6. Cook until the mixture thickens and leaves the sides of the pan.
7. Let the mixture cool slightly until pliable.
8. Shape into small, round pedhas.
9. Garnish with slivered almonds or pistachios.
10. Allow to set, then serve.
