Preparation steps:

1. Peel and segment 1 kg of oranges, removing seeds. Reserve the peel of two oranges.
2. Thinly slice the reserved peel.
3. In a large pot, combine orange segments, sliced peel, and 1 liter of water.
4. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 30 minutes.
5. Add 800g of sugar, stir until dissolved.
6. Continue to simmer until thickened, approximately 45 minutes. Test by placing a drop on a cold plate; it should wrinkle when pushed.
7. Pour into sterilized jars and seal.
