Preparation steps:

1. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan over medium heat.
2. Add 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds; let them splutter.
3. Add a pinch of asafoetida and 10 curry leaves; saute briefly.
4. Stir in 100g chopped onions; cook until translucent.
5. Add 400g finely shredded cabbage; mix well.
6. Season with salt and turmeric powder.
7. Cook, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender yet crisp.
8. Stir in 50g grated coconut; mix thoroughly.
9. Garnish with chopped coriander before serving.
