Preparation steps:

1. Prepare banana leaves by cutting them to plate size and cleaning thoroughly.
2. Cook basmati rice until fluffy, then set aside.
3. Make sambar: Boil lentils, add tamarind, vegetables, sambar powder, and simmer until cooked.
4. Prepare avial: Cook mixed vegetables, blend with yogurt, coconut, and curry leaves.
5. Fry papadums in hot oil until crisp.
6. Blend coconut, green chili, and yogurt for pachadi.
7. Boil jaggery, add coconut milk, and cardamom for a sweet payasam.
8. Arrange rice at the center of the banana leaf, and serve with all dishes neatly around it.
