Preparation steps:

1. Soak 3 tablespoons of poppy seeds in water for 30 minutes.
2. Drain and grind into a smooth paste, adding a little water if necessary.
3. Peel and cube 400 grams of potatoes.
4. Heat 2 tablespoons of mustard oil in a pan.
5. Add 1 teaspoon of nigella seeds, saute for a few seconds.
6. Add the cubed potatoes, stir, and cook for 5 minutes.
7. Add the poppy seed paste, mix well.
8. Season with salt to taste, and 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder.
9. Add 1/2 cup of water, cover, and simmer until potatoes are tender.
10. Garnish with fresh green chilies before serving.
