Preparation steps:

1. Mix 2 cups rice flour with 1 cup water and a pinch of salt until crumbly. Layer grated coconut and rice mixture in a cylindrical steamer. Steam for 5-7 minutes until cooked.
2. Soak 1 cup chickpeas overnight; boil until tender. 1 chopped onion and 2 minced garlic cloves in 2 tbsp oil. Add 1 tsp each of turmeric, coriander, and garam masala. Stir in cooked chickpeas and 1 cup coconut milk. Simmer for 10 minutes, garnish with cilantro.
3. Plate steamed puttu beside the curry for a delightful combination.
