Preparation steps:

1. Marinate 500g chicken with turmeric, salt, and chili powder; set aside for 30 minutes.
2. Heat 3 tbsp oil in a pan; saute 2 sliced onions until golden.
3. Add 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste; cook until fragrant.
4. Stir in 2 chopped tomatoes; cook until soft.
5. Mix in 1 tsp cumin, coriander powder, and garam masala.
6. Add marinated chicken; saute until lightly browned.
7. Pour in 1 cup tamarind juice; bring to a boil.
8. Simmer on low heat for 30-40 minutes, until chicken is tender.
9. Garnish with fresh coriander; serve hot.
